“NEW” keyboards player !!

Domine welcome their "new" keyboards player Riccardo Iacono! After a break of two years, during which he devoted himself to composing soundtracks, artwork, cartoons and movies, Riccardo decided to regain his place in the band which he helped to create, with whom he recorded four albums and performed in many concerts. After the summer break, the band returned to work the composition of the new album. "Wheel of Time is turning, the cycle is now complete”. Hail to a true brother of the Black Sword.

Long Live Ronnie James Dio !


With sadness we get the news about the passing of Ronnie James Dio. With Rainbow, Black Sabbath and his solo albums, Ronnie has been one of the most influential personalities in rock music, a great composer and one of the BEST SINGERS in history. I had the luck to meet Ronnie and Wendy in 1996 in Milan, during the promotion of the "Angry Machines" album : a kind person, friendly, professional, a gentlemen with his fans and professionists. I remember we brought him to ROCK FM radio for an interview and when we got out there were many fans waiting for him. He didn't jump on the taxi until he satisfied every fan, with pictures and autographs. A lesson in humility and professionism. In hotel, he told me about the recording of the song "Stargazer", one of the masterpieces of HARD ROCK and maybe the first EPIC METAL song ever recorded. Domine recorded a cover version of the song in 2001, and we released it as bonus track for the Japense version of the "Stormbringer Ruler" album - To honour Ronnie and his influence on our band, we put the song in streaming in our MySpace page. I've seen performing many times, with his solo band and with Black Sabbath, an incredible performer, a wonderful voice, a great artist ! Ronnie leaves some of the best albums of rock history and we will miss him ! Bye Ronnie ! Long Live Rock'n'Roll

DOMINE LIVE IN GREECE !

We are very happy to announce 2 gigs in the Land of the Ancient Gods !
The band will play 2 gigs in Greece at the end of September, in Athens and Thessaloniki. Check the live dates section for details.
Domine played their first gig in Athens in 1999 and the second one in 2005, so it was about time to make a come back !

To answer all the emails we are receiving from the Greek fans : Yes ! We will play songs from all our albums, including 4 long tracks from our debut album "Champion Eternal".

OFFICIAL BOOTLEG VIDEO-CLIPS FROM THE VAULT

The band has decided to issue some video-clips taken from various concerts during its carreer. Most of the video-clips are part of personal recordings and amateurish, some of which are personally edited by bass player Riccardo Paoli. The video-clips can been watched on the MySpace page of the band, on its official site www.dominetruemetal.com (in the video section) and on YouTube.

The first video-clip is the one for "True Believer" recorded at Gods Of Metal Festival 2004 in Bologna. Enjoy !!

DARKING : DEMO TAPE

In the web-page www.myspace.com/darkingmetal you can listen to a couple of songs from the first demo tape by DARKING, an Heavy Metal band formed by our friends Agostino Carpo and Leonardo Freschi. Agostino has been a member of the first Domine line-up, from the dawn of 1983 when the quintet was called Blood Lust, through many gigs and 3 demo tapes, until 1994. Leonardo has been a die-hard Domine fan and has played in many bands (one of which was a grind-core joke band with Enrico Paoli we better not mention its name...). the first Darking demo tape contains 5 track of exciting Heavy Metal in 80's style, with early Manowar, Black Sabbath-Dio era, Iron Maiden and Helstar elements and it's highly recommended ! So, get in touch with the band through its MySpace page and get your copy !

DOMINE WELCOMES NEW KEYBOARDS PLAYER GABRIELE CASELLI.

As you have surely noticed during the last three gigs, Domine has a new keyboard player. His name is Gabriele Caselli and he joined the band in May.

Here are a few biographical notes about Gabriele :
At 11 years old Gabriele Caselli joins the piano class in Lucca's Conservatory, Luigi Boccherini, taking his diploma in the year 2002 with a first class degree. Actually he is attending the seventh year of the composition class in the same institute and since 1996 he is found of electronic keyboards programming. With these instruments he records and promotes many demos while playing Power Progressive Metal and performing in various gigs. Today Gabriele, together with his musical projects, is an arranger, a composer and a teacher.

His joining has injected a renewed enthusiasm into the band, which is now writing the songs for its next album.

HEINEKEN JAMMIN FESTIVAL TOMORROW !!!

Domine will perform at HEINEKEN JAMMIN' FESTIVAL 2007 tomorrow, June 14th, in Venice. The guys will hit the main stage at 17:30, right after Mastodon, for a 45 minutes set. The band will be followed by Stone Sour, Slayer and the mighty Iron Maiden.
So, let there be Metal !!!

DOMINE at the Heineken Jammin Festival !

The band has just been confirmed as part of the bill of the first day of the Heineken Jammin Festival, which will be held on Thursday the 14th of June inside the Parco San Giuliano, Venezia. Domine joins the bill of Lauren Harris, Mastodon, Stone Sour, Slayer ed Iron Maiden. This will be the second performance of the band at the festival, after the one during the 2003 edition.

ITALIAN CHART AGAIN !

"Ancient Spirit Rising" is in the Italian TOP 100 chart for the second week. Domine's album has dropped down to nr.100 but it stays in the chart, even during the San Remo festival week. The only other metal release in the chart is Manowar's new album at number 97.

THE MAKING OF "ANCIENT SPIRIT RISING" EPK

In the My Space page and in the video section of Domine's official web-page
( www.dominetruemetal.com/video.html ) you can now watch the EPK of "Ancient Spirit Rising". It's NOT a proper promotional video-clip but a kind of video diary of the work in the recording studio for the album, to show the fans the recording studio's atmosphere. The 10 minutes of the video show the band with a natural attitude, with no poses and enthusiastically at work. All the shooting was done with an amateurish digital video camera by various members of the band and the video-clip has been edited by bass player Riccardo Paoli, going through many mini dv tapes. Our friends Luigi Stefanini, Valentina Buroni, Leonardo Patrignani e Fabio "Thunder" Bellan partecipate without their approval.....

Here are the excellent press results for "Ancient Spirit Ring" in Italy.

The cd is actually ALBUM OF THE MONTH for every metal magazine in January : METAL HAMMER 9/10; METAL MANIA 90/100, Flash 90/100; METAL SHOCK 90/100; ROCK HARD 85/100 (January issue).

The song “Tempest Calling” appears in the cover mounted cd compilation of the January issue of ROCK HARD.

An Italian tour to promote “Ancient Spirit Rising” is in the making. The live dates are still to be confirmed but they will roughly start from mid-APRIL. Check the tour section at www.dominetruemetal.com and www.myspace.com/domineofficial

“Ancient Spirit Rising” has been released in Japan on January 24th and it has a very positive review in the historical Japanese magazine BURRN! with a “very honourable” 85/100. The Japanese version of the cd contains a cover of “Too Scared To Run” by Uriah Heep as bonus track.

In the German ROCK HARD magazine, out in mid-February, you will find a cd compilation with an EDIT VERSION (shorter) of the track “The Messenger” and an interview with Enrico. The cd has been reviewed with a tepid 7/10 but it’s hailed as Domine’s best album…Italy is WORLD CHAMPION anyway and our German friends will have peace one day or another ! ;)
